Just two weeks after a 17-year-old girl Chand Bibi was flogged publicly by the Taliban in the Matta area of Swat in Pakistan, a man and a woman accused of committing adultery were gunned down by the Taliban execution squad in northwest Pakistan. Unidentified persons sent the video to the Dawn newspaper in Pakistan. The video shows the woman shouting for mercy and denying the charge of adultery as men pump bullets in her chest and later a burst from assault rifles on the man and the woman. The video also shows the Taliban shouting that the woman was still alive and then pumping some more bullets into her. Political leaders and human rights activists are stunned at the public executions by the Taliban in Pakistan.
