No one realizes that as the technological advancements happen there are chances that the existing technology would vanish at one time or the other. For example, the extra long phone cords were convenient for one to speak to people while standing few feet away from the wall-mounted base but now mobile phone has replaced it allowing people to carry it anywhere they wish. It’s very difficult to find walkman which once ruled the music market. To the above two, there are other technologies which are going to disappear. To name a few, floppy disks, landline phones, Wristwatches, VHS tape and VCRs, Beepers, Typewriters, Dial-up Internet access, DVDs etc. are the ones which are in the verge of extinction.
